I don't know how healthy impromptu travel plans are for either the body or the mind - my guess is that they aren't that healthy. Either way, I seem to be getting used to them.😄 The first one was a trip to Portugal with my mum last Christmas (which was only confirmed the day before), and the second one was my recent trip to France with my sister. We'd discussed visiting France for a month or so before we finally decided to go. So in this case, I was more mentally prepared when my sister announced that she'd booked the plane tickets and that we were leaving the following morning. The following day we visited Musée du Louvre and briefly stopped at L'Hotel de Ville before embarking on our journey back home. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't get to taste a French croissant while we were there, but the meals we had were scrumptious; and we, of course, had to have French macarons - which were just as nice a treat. 😋 Otherwise, it was a lovely first trip to France and I'm already looking forward to the next one. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and the vlog. But before that, here are my *5 Tips for Planning a Trip to Paris: 1. Carry a sweater or a light jacket with you when you go - just in case. It gets especially cold in the Paris metro stations. 2. If you're planning to use public transport while in Paris, your best bet is to buy a day travel ticket. They are sold at most - if not all - metro stations in the city for as little as 2 euros (depending on how far out you're planning to go). They get more and more expensive the further you go from the city. 3. If you're looking for a good restaurant near Arc de Triomphe, try Le Vin Coeur. The ambience here is so inviting, the food they serve is delicious, and the prices are affordable. 4. Alternatively, buying snacks from the supermarket is not a bad idea. We bought some pastries from a Lidl supermarket which were sooo tasty! Plus, it saved us a bit of money, too. 5. In case you can't afford to fly to and/or from Paris, consider travelling by coach. Although it takes longer than a flight does, it's actually quite comfortable and a bit more affordable. It also helps if you're travelling with someone else. It makes the journey feel shorter. 😉😊 - ✗O✗O.
