How to Keep Your Emotions in Check
I recently came across some memes on the internet about women's ever-changing emotions that made me laugh out loud. What I find so funny about these memes is how accurate they are.
One of my current favourites, for example, says:
"Being a woman is exciting because we don't know what mood we'll be in next, or for how long."
It's crazy how abruptly our moods can change. My mood swings, for example, change so often in a day that I lose count of how many emotions I've felt by the end of the night. It's even worse when I haven't slept well the previous night, when I'm hungry or "at that time of the month" (ladies, I know you know what I mean😏).
There's a quote that says, "The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man." - Unknown.
I couldn't agree more!😊
Student life can be overwhelming.
I spend most of my days running from one place to another, making sure that I catch the train or the bus to school on time. And when I'm not in school, I'm working on my assignments or studying for my exams, and making sure that the rest of my life is in order - not to mention putting some time aside for blogging as well. And although I enjoy having a lot to do, I sometimes need to give my body and my mind a break from it all.
So I escape by going for a walk in nature! 👣
It was the first day of March, and my friend Emmie & I had decided to spend our evening in the Amsterdam RAI Arena, celebrating the Hillsong Netherlands Church's 5th anniversary with the rest of the congregation.
Pastor Brian Houston, the founder of Hillsong Church was coming to the Netherlands especially for this service. I'd heard a couple of his sermons on TV before, but this would be the first time I would be hearing him speak in person.
I was really looking forward to it! 😃
