Being the lover of sunsets that I am, it took me a while to appreciate taking pictures of the rain. Just like everyone else, I used to run for cover whenever it started raining. But all that changed when I started taking photography lessons.
One day one of the students in my photography class asked the teacher what time of the day, and what weather is best for taking good pictures. A number of students gave their suggestions in response, but the final conclusion was at the golden hours - sunrise and at sunset. The teacher explained that it was because of the amount of natural light being emitted by the sun at these times.
Afterwards, he asked us what we thought about taking pictures in the rain, and hinted at it being a great way to challenge ourselves creatively.📷
I find it easier and more effective to write down how I feel rather than to say it.
